Phoenix Pilot Program
Founder-led One real workflow Six calendar months
The Sonoran Desert, close to home.
Sophosic’s Phoenix pilot is a founder-led program for a small number of local businesses. We start with a 20-minute discovery conversation, choose one real customer workflow, establish a baseline, and learn whether a focused Sophosic installation produces a measurable result.
This is not a promise to automate an entire business. The pilot is intentionally narrow, and the business keeps control of estimates, dispatch, access, medical or safety decisions, refunds, approvals, and other judgment calls.

What the six-month waiver covers
Sophosic Business normally costs $49 per month. A selected participant receives Business at $0 per month for six calendar months. The clock starts only after both conditions are verified:
- Business access is active for the participant’s workspace.
- The agreed public workflow is available for customers to use.
Setup time before verified activation does not consume the six months. Transaction processing fees still apply to payments processed through Sophosic: 3.4% + 30¢ online and 2.9% + 10¢ in person. The accepted fee schedule is recorded for the participant and does not change during the active pilot if public pricing changes later.
How participation works
- Discovery: We discuss the current workflow, where requests arrive, what happens next, and which outcome matters.
- Qualification: We confirm all seven pilot gates: a real workflow, reachable customers, a credible leakage hypothesis, an attributable outcome, safe human boundaries, enough operating capacity, and owner commitment.
- One-page brief: Sophosic provides a versioned brief naming the single workflow, baseline, success measure, responsibilities, human handoffs, fees, and pilot end rule.
- Written acceptance: The business accepts that exact brief before enrollment. Later edits require a new version and new acceptance.
- Setup and activation: We configure and test the workflow. The six-month period begins only after access and public availability are both verified.
- Learning reviews: We review evidence together, including qualified requests, paid outcomes, operational effort, and customer experience.
No subscription card is required to start the pilot.
Participant responsibilities
Participants agree to:
- designate an owner for the workflow and reply path;
- provide accurate service, pricing, availability, policy, and handoff information;
- keep human review in place for estimates, access, emergencies, regulated advice, safety, refunds, and exceptions;
- respond to qualified requests within the agreed operating window;
- tell Sophosic promptly when the workflow, capacity, or policies change;
- participate in brief learning reviews and share enough outcome evidence to judge the pilot fairly; and
- follow their own legal, licensing, privacy, tax, and customer-service obligations.
Sophosic may pause a workflow when information is stale, a safety boundary is unclear, or continued operation could mislead a customer.
Human decision boundaries
Sophosic can answer approved routine questions, collect structured facts, request photos or documents, match a customer to an approved service, and hand the request to a person. It does not independently make emergency-dispatch decisions, diagnose a condition, authorize entry, issue a binding estimate, approve credit, promise availability, or override an operator’s policy.
The accepted brief states exactly what the workflow may do and when it must stop and involve a person.
Optional Scale plan
An active or paused participant may choose Scale through a separate authenticated checkout. Scale is $149 per month, with processing of 2.9% + 30¢ online and 2.7% + 10¢ in person. A successful Scale conversion ends the free Business entitlement immediately; founder-led pilot support continues through the pilot’s original fixed end date.
Nothing converts to Scale automatically. A failed or abandoned Scale payment leaves the Business pilot unchanged.
End of the pilot
Business never renews automatically from this program. At the fixed end date, the pilot Business entitlement ends and the workspace resolves to the Free plan, even if Stripe already has a payment method for that customer.
The Free plan is $0 per month. Its current processing rates are 3.9% + 30¢ online and 3.4% + 15¢ in person. Those post-pilot Free rates are not part of the participant’s locked active-pilot fee schedule and may follow then-current public pricing. Business-only capabilities are no longer entitled after fallback; the workspace and retained data remain subject to the Sophosic Terms , Privacy Policy , and the plan entitlements in effect at that time.
Continuing on paid Business requires a separate authenticated checkout. Paused or disabled workflows stay paused or disabled through a plan change; changing a plan does not silently republish them.
A participant may ask to stop at any time. Sophosic may pause or terminate a pilot for safety, misuse, non-participation, stale information, or a material change that makes the agreed workflow unsuitable. Processing fees already incurred are not subscription charges and are not waived by termination.
What success means
We track progress in five separate milestones:
- Installed: the agreed capability exists.
- Activated: a real customer can use the public workflow.
- Revenue-producing: the workflow contributes to a paid outcome.
- ROI-positive: attributable contribution margin exceeds the real cost of operating the workflow.
- Repeatable: the result can be reproduced without founder heroics.
The first goal is learning: a real owner conversation, a real workflow, and a credible baseline. A pilot is not declared successful from traffic, messages, or demos alone.
